The Japanese Society of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences (JSPHCS) operates the English version of the Journal of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences (JPHCS) on an open access model. The Journal is published by BioMed Central, and began accepting manuscripts on March 28, 2014.


The JPHCS underpins the Society’s mission of fostering and enhancing scholarship in health care and pharmaceutical science.
The Journal seeks to inform others of research results through open access and to help foster health care and pharmaceutical science by widely disseminating those results worldwide.
We eagerly await submissions from Society members.

Procedures for manuscript submission


Note!! An account number is required in order to submit a manuscript to the Journal.

If the first author is a Society member, then the author is entitled to pay the member’s rate for manuscript publication. An account number is required in order to submit a manuscript. If you have forgotten your account number, e-mail your login ID and password for the JPHCS manuscript submission system to the Society’s e-mail address below. Write “Request Account Number” in the subject line of your e-mail.

Payment of the article processing charge


The JPHCS follows an open access model of publication. Authors must pay an article processing charge (APC) in order to publish an article in the Journal.
If the first author of an article is a JSPHCS member, the author will receive member’s account number in the e-mail sent by the editorial office when he or she submitted manuscript. Then author is able to apply for a discount payment of the APC using its account number. If you are unsure of your account number, please contact the Headquarters of the JPHCS at jphcs@jsphcs.jp prior to submission.
